![]() As long as the sprites fit the correct format - 12 tiles across, 8 tiles high for a full sheet, 3 tiles across, 4 tiles tall for a single character sheet - then RPGMaker knows how to divide the image in to those blocks. I think those Suikoden characters are only 1.5 though so it may work just fine depending on the type of sprite youre going for. Both XP and Pixel Myth are set up for 1.5 high characters so a full 2 tiles will look too tall. ![]() ![]() the sprite must be renamed, with the inner name you want to give to the character (in the following example: "FemKomato") followed by %(6) FemKomato%(6).png Also, the white space on the right and on the bottom of the sprite has been left purposely, the RPG maker engine expects to cut and render on screen 1/24 of the width and 1/8 of the height, if you simply load the sprite into an RPGmaker mv game (with the appropriate plugins) and rename it properly, it should work fine. If youre getting the parts for the generator, youll select Tall Male or whatever, and it will create the sprites for you. High Fantasy is 2-3 tiles high depending on the character but the graphics are all 3D making them harder to personalize. Because of the peculiar proportions, i deemed the animations require 6 frames instead of the canonic 3 or 4, so to implement this in an RPGmaker product, the application will require plugins from this page. Let me know if you might need a smaller version. A tileset will take this in account, and, just like happens in cow breeding, there will be places where humans can't be reached by aliens, for this reason. This character is based on Daniel Remar's alien race "Komato" The size might be surprising, but in the original project komato are supposed to be horse-sized and unable to walk trough some human sized doors (unless they rip a hole in the wall) They are supposed to be very big. It sounds like you're a beginner at this spriting thing, you may want to start out making edits instead of starting from scratch. This is a new standard for RPG maker sprites, i did some, i'll publish them soon, but i didn't draw appropriate tilesets for this scale, yet. I think those Suikoden characters are only 1.5 though so it may work just fine depending on the type of sprite you're going for. tobishima 307 days ago (+1) Thank you And please enjoy my assets in your game production. High Fantasy is 2-3 tiles high depending on the character but the graphics are all 3D making them harder to personalize. Ive been seeing the posts on the rpg maker forum of these sprites and the mv ones you have made, and I think youve convinced me to switch my characters to tall sprites. The High Fantasy series, Pixel Myth, or XP's RTP. There are some tilesets made with taller sprites in mind. It's not strange to have battler sprites that are a different scale than the rest, you wouldn't necessarily have to change sets. For animation there are a number of programs that support it including Photoshop and GIMP but I prefer something that's been made specifically for it like Graphics Gale or Pyxel Edit. You just can't use pure vector programs like Inkscape or Illustrator, and usually it's nice to have something that supports layers. For making pixel art just about any art program will do.
